Christian parties around the world

Welcome to the blog that's devoted to linking activists in other Christian parties across the world. Feel free to send us information about your party or group and we'll add it to our list. As of 2005, there were some 56 different political parties across the globe (click on the page to the right to see full list). You are not alone!

We need each other!

We need each other - now more than ever!

I have not visited this blog for a long time but would like to revive it and see if there are more people out there who want to share their experiences of being a Christian active in political life or involved in the creation of a Christian political party. If that is you, why not reach out and tell us about yourself. We welcome your comments.

Christians and Politics Portal - Check it Out

I encourage you to check out this website which is shown as a link on the right hand side of the blog. Their aim is listed below. There are a variety of articles and book reviews that may be of interest to those who want to practice politics Christianly as well as see commentaries on European happenings that you wouldn't see elsewhere.

"Our aim
Our aim is to define and encourage a new Christian Democracy. “New” in the sense of content – a firm biblical and spiritual base. “New” in the sense of behaviour - more emphasis on the person who is active in Christian politics. We want to stress the need of Christian character building and mentoring for new Christian politicians. Central values are integrity, faithfulness and accountability towards God.
We strive for international exchange between Christian political actors."

Welcome to CHIPS!

What is CHIPS you might say? It stands for Christian Heritage International Political Society. It is an informal group of parties across the world that are committed to seeing Christian principles as the basis for political action in their countries. As a member of the National Board of the Christian Heritage Party of Canada, I hold the CHIPS portfolio. I decided to start this blog as a way to reach out to other explicitly Christian political parties and to offer support to them in whatever way we can. It is also designed as an opportunity to network with one another and to learn from each others' experiences.
Please come back here often and check to see what's happening politically in other countries wanting to bring Christian principles into the public square.
